The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Apila clinches up with SIka and pushes him back against the cage.
Apila is working SIka over against the cage.

Apila tries a body shot but SIka blocks it.
Apila digs a right hand underneath SIka's ribcage. SIka let out a lung full of air as it connected.
SIka looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Apila lands a shot to the body.

Apila misses with some punches.

Apila tries to throw a body punch but SIka avoids it by throwing Apila back against the cage.
Apila is leaning against SIka and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

SIka blocks an elbow strike.
SIka is trying to force a seperation but Apila has the dominant position.
Apila scores with a shoulder strike.

Apila escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Apila throws a looping overhand right but SIka ducks down to avoid it.
Apila rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but SIka moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Apila tries to close the distance and clinch but SIka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Apila throws a jab but it's blocked by SIka.

It looks like Paha SIka has been cut.
Apila takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
SIka takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
SIka swats away the attempt to clinch by Apila.

Apila swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Apila getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Apila connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt SIka! He's out on his feet! Apila rushes in and drops SIka with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
