Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Prince Madison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Georges Pierre will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madison shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pierre sprawls well. Pierre wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Madison gets slowly back to his feet.
Georges Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Pierre.
Pierre leaves Madison with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pierre shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Madison counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Madison drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Madison jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pierre can do anything to dispel that myth.
Madison stops Pierre from standing up.

Madison is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Pierre wants to stand up but Madison is controlling him.

Madison has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pierre is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Pierre really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Madison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Madison drops back looking for a leg! Pierre is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pierre manages to kick Madison off! Madison jumps back into Pierre's guard.

Madison drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pierre looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pierre looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pierre!

Pierre working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Pierre wants to control but Madison is keeping him busy.
Madison can't do much from the bottom here.
Madison is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pierre's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Pierre has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Madison to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pierre is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Madison pulls down on the head and he's put Pierre to sleep! This one is all over!
