Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between King James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Klinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, King James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Klinger!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James dives in and grabs Klinger's left leg, looking for a takedown. Klinger pushes down on James's head and hops out.
James tries to clinch up.
Klinger bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps James's head backwards.


It looks like King James has been cut.
James walks into a straight right hand from Klinger.
James has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
A big left from James misses.
Klinger stalks James and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into James's face. James staggers backwards, shaken.


James is rocked!

James closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Oh James is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Klinger is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked James off and has taken his back!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Klinger scores with punches and elbows.
Klinger is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
James tries to roll but Klinger sticks to his back.
James seems to have got his legs back now.

Klinger is not going to allow James to sit and survive in this position.
James tries to escape but Klinger has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
James wants to control his opponent's hands but Klinger gets his hands free.
Klinger wants to control but James is keeping busy.

James is trying to break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
James manages to reverse the position and now he's in Klinger's guard. Nice work there by James.
James wants to control from the top but Klinger keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Klinger throws a body kick that misses.

James scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

James is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Klinger doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time James.

James is looking for a kimura here.

Klinger is looking to improve his position.
Klinger trying to hold on to James's head to control him but James postures up.
James trying to control from half guard but Klinger is working away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Klinger makes his way to full guard, as James worked for a kimura.
James throws a big right hand that misses.

Klinger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. James gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Klinger keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.

James is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Klinger is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Klinger has escaped and now he's on top!

James is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Klinger defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Klinger dominated that round.
The cut man is working on King James's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


James closes this distance looking for a takedown but Klinger circles away.
Klinger connects with a good right hand that stumbles James. James circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

James shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than James was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

James jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Klinger manages to avoid the submission attempt.

James is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Klinger has escaped the position, nice work there.

James working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

James goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Klinger has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for James but great work by Klinger.
James is looking for a sweep.

Klinger stands up.
Klinger sizes up James with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
James fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Klinger looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

James shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Klinger is trying to defend but James finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
James is trying to control. Klinger wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Klinger has one foot on James's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
James changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Klinger tries to avoid it but James manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Klinger to the ground. Klinger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King James. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Klinger throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Klinger is looking to land body kicks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Klinger sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat.
Klinger throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from James.
James throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Klinger's waist but Klinger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing James off to one side.
James shoots for a double leg takedown but Klinger sprawls well. He's pushed James's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Klinger scores with a head kick.
Klinger stuffs the takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
James fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Klinger avoids it really well and circles away.
Klinger lands a glancing blow to the side of James's head.


King James's cut is getting worse.
James closes the distance and clinches up with Klinger, looking for a takedown. James pushes Klinger against the cage but Klinger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from James.
James shoots in and drives through. Klinger sprawls well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Klinger buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Klinger sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Klinger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Klinger displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from James.
Klinger lands a hook that stumbles James back into the cage. Klinger follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping James to the canvas! Klinger pounces and lands several unanswered shots - James has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Kyle Klinger!
