The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quest throws a series of punches but Kharitonov avoids them all with ease.
Kharitonov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Quest misses with the combination.
Quest throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Quest throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Quest throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kharitonov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Quest misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kharitonov.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kharitonov lands the left hand.

It looks like Johnny Quest has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kharitonov swats away the attempt to clinch by Quest.

Kharitonov cracks Quest with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kharitonov has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Quest to stand back up!

Quest closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Quest prevents Kharitonov from improving his position.
Kharitonov is working hard here to advance position.

Kharitonov looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kharitonov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kharitonov tries to kick Quest off in order to stand up. Quest Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Quest scoring with punches and elbows.
Kharitonov is trying to improve his position.
Kharitonov is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Quest asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Quest is defended easily by Kharitonov.

Quest throws a jab but it's blocked by Kharitonov.
Quest has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Quest there as he acknowledges the shot.

Kharitonov ducks under a wild hook from Quest.

Quest lands a nice hook to Kharitonov's body. Kharitonov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kharitonov swats away the attempt to clinch by Quest.
Kharitonov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Quest looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kharitonov connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Quest! He's out on his feet! Kharitonov rushes in and drops Quest with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
