Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martial Arts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kake Luikku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arts kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cry Little Sister. Martial Arts could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kake Luikku's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luikku shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Luikku showed some decent athleticism there.
Arts might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Luikku trying to control the action but Arts is working from the bottom.

Luikku is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Arts has managed to free his arm - good work.
Arts is trying to stand.
Arts trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Arts is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Luikku scores with a couple of nice shots.
Luikku has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Luikku is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Arts is just riding it out for now. Luikku eventually gives up the hold.
Arts is looking to escape.

Arts is not content to let Luikku control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Luikku tries to close the distance and clinch but Arts swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Luikku looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Luikku seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Arts does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Arts is breathing heavily.
Luikku works his way to his opponent's back.
Luikku lands a shot to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Luikku is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Arts has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Luikku has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Arts taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Luikku doesn't care though - he's delighted!
