Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mateus Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derrick Waters will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Derrick Waters!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Waters wants to control but instead Allen manages to regain half guard.
Allen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Waters.
Waters takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Waters stops Allen from getting back to his feet.
Allen has one foot on Waters's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Allen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Waters looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Allen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Waters keeps working.
Waters has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Waters tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Allen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Waters is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Allen off and has taken his back!
Allen is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Waters connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Allen to escape the position.
Waters is working the ground and pound. Can Allen escape?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
I really don't envy Allen right now.
Allen wants to control his opponent's hands but Waters gets his hands free.
Allen tries to break free.
Waters wants to control but Allen is keeping busy.
Well, with Waters on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Allen is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Allen grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Waters lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Waters really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Allen.
Allen is breathing heavily.
Allen tries to roll but Waters sticks to his back.
Waters trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Waters is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Allen is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Waters is punishing Allen with strikes - can he finish him?!
Waters scores with punches and elbows.
Waters lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Allen.
Allen is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Waters gets his way!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Waters lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Waters.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Waters's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Waters is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Allen defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Allen trying to get back to his feet but Waters is in full control for now.
Waters is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Allen won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Waters off his unconscious opponent!
