And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fudencio tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mabie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fudencio shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mabie as he avoids it easily.
Fudencio shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mabie but Mabie pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mabie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Fudencio fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mabie manages to avoid it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mabie has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fudencio's face.
BOOM! Mabie connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Mabie goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Fudencio is on top in guard.

No joy there for Fudencio, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mabie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mabie showed some decent athleticism there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mabie decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fudencio, up you get!

Fudencio is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Mabie has taken the fight to the clinch.

Mabie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Fudencio tries to pull guard but Mabie won't allow it.

Nathan Mabie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mabie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fudencio moves away.

and Mabie counters with a left and a right that stings Fudencio.

Mabie has managed to clinch.

Mabie wants the takedown. Fudencio is fighting it off but Mabie persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Fudencio's guard against the cage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mabie instigates a clinch.

Mabie is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Fudencio can't fight it off and eventually Mabie manages to take the fight to the floor. Fudencio looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well Mabie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
