PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Emil Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Emil Hammer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Sims!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sims dives in and grabs Hammer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hammer pushes down on Sims's head and hops out.
Sims changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hammer tries to avoid it but Sims manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hammer to the ground. Hammer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck for Sims with that takedown attempt.
Emil Hammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Sims.

Hammer feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sims sprawling to the canvas! Sims rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hammer finish him?!

Sims is rocked!

Sims is still on wobbly legs! Can Hammer finish him?
Sims slips a jab from Hammer.
Sims throws a hook to the side of Hammer's head but Hammer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hammer feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Sims crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Emil Hammer!
