Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Rockside (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Whar Fedal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whar Fedal will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Whar Fedal!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockside throws a hook but Fedal avoids it easily.
Fedal works over Rockside's head and body with a nice combination.
Fedal is looking to clinch but Rockside is avoiding it.

Whar Fedal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rockside digs a good body shot into Fedal's ribs.

Fedal had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rockside is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fedal Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rockside's back instead.

Fedal is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Rockside looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Rockside is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fedal is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Fedal is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Rockside reverses the position - he's now on top in Fedal's guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Fedal tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rockside fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fedal sprawls well initially but Rockside persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Rockside moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Fedal.
Fedal is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rockside's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Fedal is staying active underneath Rockside, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Fedal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Rockside shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rockside was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rockside cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


Fedal is rocked!
Rockside prevents Fedal from getting the reversal.
Rockside trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Rockside with the ground and pound from mount.
Fedal is still in real trouble! Can Rockside finish him?
BOOM! Rockside connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Rockside is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fedal can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fedal is bucking up trying to escape but Rockside cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Rockside cracks Fedal with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Rockside can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fedal is looking to escape.
Kevin Rockside overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fedal is looking to improve his position but Rockside isn't that keen on the idea.

Fedal pushes Rockside off and gets back to his feet.
Fedal lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rockside throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fedal smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Fedal has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rockside should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Fedal has tightened it up now! Rockside should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
