Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diago Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kunta Kinte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kinte is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Baka Survivor!. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diago Sanchez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kunta Kinte!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez stuffs the takedown attempt from Kinte. Kinte gets slowly back to his feet.
Kinte throws a shot from downtown. Sanchez moves away and avoids it.
Sanchez tries to bum rush Kinte with a series of wild strikes but Kinte uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kinte closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Good exchange - Kinte coming out on top.
Kinte fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sanchez manages to avoid it.
Kinte missing with a left hand there. Sanchez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A left lands for Sanchez.

Kunta Kinte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Kinte wants to control but Sanchez is having none of it.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kinte sprawls well. Kinte wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez throws the left hand but Kinte avoids the punch easily.

Kinte shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sanchez's guard.

Kinte wants to free his trapped foot but Sanchez is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kunta Kinte showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sanchez lands with a straight right. Kinte didn't see that one coming.
Sanchez throws a right and a left that Kinte avoids nicely.
Kinte walks into a stiff left hand from Sanchez.
Kinte slaps away a takedown attempt from Sanchez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sanchez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kinte.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kinte is looking to take a break and control but Sanchez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close round but Diago Sanchez did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kinte works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Kinte is looking to take a break and control but Sanchez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
Sanchez is trying to escape the position but Kinte is controlling the position.

Kunta Kinte dominated that fourth round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


A combination from Sanchez does no damage.
Sanchez moves away from the strike by Kinte.

and Sanchez counters with a straight right hand.

Kinte takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Kinte is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?

Kinte shoots in for a takedown but Sanchez shows good takedown defense.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kinte is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Kinte closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kinte lands in his opponent's guard.

Kinte throws a jab but it's blocked by Sanchez.
Sanchez is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Sanchez misses with a hook.

Kinte feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kinte controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Sanchez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kinte can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
Diago Sanchez showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
