Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jin Lau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Coleman!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick there by Coleman.
Coleman fails to land the takedown.
Mark Coleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lau fails with the takedown

and Coleman counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lau!
Coleman trying to control but Lau is having none of it.

Coleman working for a guillotine from mount but Lau is in no mood to give up.
Coleman landing strikes, looking to finish!
Lau is working to get back to half guard.
Coleman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Coleman manages to capitalize on a mistake by Lau to take his back!

Coleman just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Lau is trying to stand back up.
Lau tries to roll but Coleman sticks to his back.

Lau fending off the submission attempt from Coleman.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleman is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Lau tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lau working to try and regain half guard.
Coleman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lau is looking to escape.
Lau slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Coleman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lau. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lau tries to get to full guard but Coleman has control of the leg.

Lau is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Coleman pulls his head out easily.

Lau is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Coleman defends well.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lau is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lau thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lau prevents Coleman from getting back to his feet.

Lau drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lau jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lau trying to stand up but can't free himself from Coleman's guard.

Lau drops back, looking for a kneebar! Coleman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Coleman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Coleman!

Coleman tries to advance to mount but Lau denies him.
Lau is pushing Coleman's head away, looking to escape. Coleman manages to hold on to the position though.

Lau sneaks out the side door and pushes Coleman away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

and Coleman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Coleman.

Coleman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Coleman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lau is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Coleman rolls with it to try and escape but Lau cranks on the arm and Coleman is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
