Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zach Holl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Vincent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zach Holl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Vincent!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Holl is defended easily by Vincent.
Holl shoots in for a double leg but Vincent sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Vincent misses with a head kick.

Vincent moves into the clinch.
Holl is trying to force a seperation but Vincent has the dominant position.

Vincent tightens his grip and picks Holl up, before dumping him to the ground. Holl manages to land in guard.
Vincent in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Holl is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vincent defends well.
Vincent must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Holl looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Holl is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Vincent is looking to work some ground and pound but Holl has wrist control.
Holl wants to stand and escape but Vincent is having none of it.
Vincent is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Holl keeping moving, preventing Vincent from controlling successfully.

Vincent prevents Holl from getting back to his feet.
Vincent wants to pass the guard but Holl is keeping the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Vincent throws out a loose jab but Holl uses good head movement to avoid it.
Holl closes the distance and clinches up with Vincent, looking for a takedown. Holl pushes Vincent against the cage but Vincent circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zach Holl. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Vincent. No joy for Holl on that attempt.
Holl tries for a takedown but Vincent sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Holl is breathing heavily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Vincent closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Vincent working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Holl manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Holl is refusing to be controlled, as Vincent sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vincent not doing much here.
Vincent stops Holl from getting back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vincent is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Holl tries to kick Vincent off but Vincent keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Holl looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Vincent prevents Holl from improving his position.
Vincent trying to control the action but Holl is working from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Vincent has closed the distance and engaged Holl in a clinch.
Vincent is leaning against Holl and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Holl fails to pull guard.

Vincent gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holl looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Vincent with a flurry of punches that miss.

Holl working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vincent doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vincent manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Vincent tries to free his leg and advance position but Holl is retaining full guard.
Vincent tries to stand but Holl is controlling from the bottom.

Holl working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vincent doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vincent manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vincent trying to stand up but can't free himself from Holl's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Vincent dominated that round.
That's time! Holl's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Vincent gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Holl has had enough of the clinch but Vincent keeps him there for the moment.

Vincent gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Holl regains guard.

Holl is looking to sinch up a triangle. Vincent throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Holl's body to avoid the submission. Holl has instead reached around Vincent's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Holl arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Zach Holl!
