Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakata fails with an attempt to clinch.
Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nakata's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nakata does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Nakata frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Nakata pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Nakata fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Silva wants to control but Nakata is having none of it.
Silva bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Nakata has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Silva doesn't defend quickly enough and Nakata has managed to lock this one up! Can Silva escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Nakata on a fantastic submission victory.
