The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Common tries for a takedown but Black sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Common swats away the attempt to clinch by Black.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Common.
Common shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Common tries to keep at a distance but Black has taken the fight into the clinch.
Black prevents Common from breaking the clinch.
Black is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Common is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Black pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Black is pressed up against the cage. Common has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Black down to the mat. Black avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Black drops back looking for a leg! Common is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Common manages to kick Black off! Black jumps back into Common's guard.

Common working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Black doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Black manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
