Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kim Gauthier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kongo Hatoky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hatoky's choice of entrance music: MAMMA AFRICA!!. The key to victory for Kim Gauthier has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatoky has a takedown stuffed.
Gauthier tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hatoky tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Gauthier counters with a shoot takedown. Hatoky fights it but they end up in guard.
Gauthier wants to control from the top but Hatoky keeps moving.

Gauthier thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Gauthier is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hatoky is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hatoky has escaped and now he's on top!

Gauthier has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hatoky can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gauthier bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hatoky's guard.

Gauthier stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hatoky swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hatoky feints and as Gauthier raises his hands in defense, Hatoky changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gauthier is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gauthier has an Americana. Hatoky didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gauthier is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gauthier hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
