Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergio Ramos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frito Lei!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lei is looking to land body kicks.

Ramos takes the fight into the clinch.
Lei looking to stall.
Ramos blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Lei has a couple of punches blocked by Ramos.
Ramos changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lei fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Lei tries to keep at a distance but Ramos has taken the fight into the clinch.

Lei breaks from the clinch.
Ramos tries to close the distance and clinch but Lei swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lei closes the distance but Ramos moves to the side

and Ramos counters with a single leg into guard. Lei didn't expect that.

Ramos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramos forces his way into half guard.

Ramos stops Lei from getting back to his feet.
Ramos trying to control the pace.
Ramos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lei is trying to stand back up but Ramos is controlling him

Ramos stands up from half guard.
A punch combination from Lei misses.

Ramos clinches.
Lei has had enough of the clinch but Ramos keeps him there for the moment.
Lei is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lei is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Lei keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ramos's efforts to push away.
Ramos has Lei pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lei manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Ramos is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lei can't fight it off and eventually Ramos manages to take the fight to the floor. Lei looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ramos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ramos pushes down on Lei's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lei is trying to stand up here but Ramos is controlling him well.
Lei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ramos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ramos is taking a breather. Lei says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ramos seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lei for as long as he can get away with.
Lei wants to get back to his feet.
Ramos content to control rather than advance.
Ramos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lei can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lei is looking to escape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ramos controlling the action here.

Ramos wants to work for an arm triangle but Lei is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Lei is trying to stand.

Ramos gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Lei moves into the clinch.

Ramos tightens his grip and picks Lei up, before dumping him to the ground. Lei manages to land in guard.

Lei pushes Ramos off but Ramos dives into side control.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Sergio Ramos just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Lei tries to clinch but Ramos moves away

and Ramos counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Ramos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Ramos stands up and beckons Lei to join him on the feet.
Ramos showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lei.
Lei is breathing heavily.

Ramos moves into the clinch.
Ramos drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lei pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lei tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Ramos decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lei's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ramos is working Lei over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Lei is looking to stand up but Ramos isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramos landing with the ground and pound.
Ramos is stalling in the full guard.
Ramos advances position into side control!

Lei is trying to get back to his feet.
Lei bucks up and tries to throw Ramos off but instead Ramos has got his back!
Good control from Ramos.

Ramos is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Lei is defending well though. Ramos let's go of the attempt for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ramos landing with strikes.
Sergio Ramos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ramos controlling the position well here. Lei rolled but Ramos kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lei is trying to get back to his feet but Ramos has full control of the position and if anything, Lei has just worked his way into a worse spot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Lei can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ramos controls the pace.

Lei takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ramos dives in and grabs Lei's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lei pushes down on Ramos's head and hops out.

Ramos shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lei manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Lei is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ramos dives into side control.

Ramos decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Ramos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ramos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lei can do to turn this around?
Ramos is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Ramos stands up out of the half guard.

Ramos shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ramos showed some decent athleticism there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ramos is figuring out what he wants to do next.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sergio Ramos showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ramos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
