Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anton Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Stokoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anton Da Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Alex Stokoe's chin.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva wants to clinch up but Stokoe keeps it at a distance.
Da Silva is looking to clinch but Stokoe is avoiding it.
Stokoe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Stokoe rushes Da Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Stokoe drops down looking for an ankle pick but Da Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.
Stokoe moves out of range of the leg kick from Da Silva.
Da Silva throws a right and a left that Stokoe avoids nicely.

Da Silva clinches.
Knees to the body from Stokoe.
Da Silva is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Stokoe drags the fight down to the ground.
Stokoe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Da Silva wants to get up but he can't break Stokoe's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Stokoe looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Da Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stokoe on the ground.
Stokoe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Da Silva manages to get himself to full guard.
Da Silva is breathing heavily.
Stokoe wants to control from the top but Da Silva keeps moving.
Da Silva wants to stand but Stokoe is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stokoe advances to half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stokoe wants to control but Da Silva is keeping him busy.

Stokoe stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Da Silva to get to his feet.
Da Silva tries to clinch
and Stokoe counters with a nice body kick.
Da Silva walks into a jab.
Stokoe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Da Silva is fending him off so far but Stokoe persists. Nope, Da Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Da Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Stokoe. Stokoe gets slowly back to his feet.
Anton Da Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Stokoe.
Da Silva lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Stokoe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Da Silva swivels and escapes.

and Stokoe counters by moving into the clinch.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Da Silva.

Stokoe manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stokoe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Da Silva is trying to stand up here but Stokoe is controlling him well.
Stokoe content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Stokoe in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Da Silva tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Stokoe!
