PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Muhammed Brishnich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sho Fukamachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brishnich comes to the cage accompanied by Bullsonparade. Fukamachi has chosen Guyver: The Bio-Boosted Armor as his entrance music. Sho Fukamachi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Sho Fukamachi!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fukamachi closes the distance and clinches.

Brishnich pulls guard.
Fukamachi's corner is telling him to maintain position.
I looks like Fukamachi might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Fukamachi pushing down on Brishnich's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Fukamachi is controlling the pace.
Fukamachi uses his free foot to push down on Brishnich's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Brishnich.

Brishnich tries to hold on but Fukamachi postures up.
Fukamachi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fukamachi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Brishnich loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Brishnich might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fukamachi has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Brishnich drops back looking for a leg! Fukamachi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fukamachi manages to kick Brishnich off! Brishnich jumps back into Fukamachi's guard.
Brishnich has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fukamachi is on top in guard.

Brishnich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fukamachi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Brishnich tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Brishnich scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Brishnich throws an overhand right that lands on Fukamachi's shoulder, as Fukamachi tries to avoid the shot.

Fukamachi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brishnich's half guard.
Fukamachi moves into full mount! Brishnich won't be happy about that!

Fukamachi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Fukamachi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brishnich looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Some bone on bone action there as Fukamachi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Sho Fukamachi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fukamachi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brishnich's waist but Brishnich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fukamachi off to one side.
Muhammed Brishnich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sho Fukamachi.
