Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Swiftwater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Pederson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Pederson!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pederson misses with a series of wild punches.
Pederson tries to close the distance and clinch but Swiftwater swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Pederson.
Pederson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Swiftwater shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Swiftwater lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pederson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Swiftwater moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jeremy Pederson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Swiftwater shoots in and bounces Pederson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Pederson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Swiftwater has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
