The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Klumpo just misses with a punch to the body.
Mack scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Mack throws a right hand that Klumpo ducks under and follows up with a left that Klumpo also avoids with ease.
Klumpo swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Mack gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Klumpo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mack works over Klumpo with some ground and pound from guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Klumpo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Klumpo gets the takedown into side control.
Klumpo sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mack is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Klumpo throws a strike but Mack rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Mack is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Klumpo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A combination from Mack does no damage.
Mack misses with a double jab.

That was a close round but I would say that Rodney Mack will probably get the nod.
That's time! Mack's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Mack takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mack swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Mack tries to bum rush Klumpo with a series of wild strikes but Klumpo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Klumpo throws a shot from downtown. Mack moves away and avoids it.
Klumpo shoots for a takedown but Mack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mack scores with a one two! Klumpo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Sumpo Klumpo has been cut.
Mack works over Klumpo's head and body with a nice combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mack throws a nice looking combination but Klumpo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Klumpo.
Rodney Mack is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mack rushes Klumpo with punches - Klumpo moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Klumpo goes down! Mack follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
