Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hector Barbossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charon Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charon Hawkins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hector Barbossa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charon Hawkins!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Barbossa feints and as Hawkins raises his hands in defense, Barbossa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Barbossa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Barbossa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Hawkins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Barbossa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hawkins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Barbossa.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hector Barbossa will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
