Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sal Gorchev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herbert West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Herbert West!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West doesn't manage to clinch there - Gorchev circles away.
West keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

West drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Gorchev tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but West wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
West in side control, just content to control the action for now.
West's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Gorchev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

West is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gorchev is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
West is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gorchev's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gorchev's back!
Gorchev is trying to get back to his feet but West has full control of the position and if anything, Gorchev has just worked his way into a worse spot.

West goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Gorchev escapes and is now in half guard on top.

Gorchev turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gorchev manages to end up in side control.

That's time! Gorchev's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gorchev jumps into guard, dragging West to the mat.
Gorchev manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. West manages to get himself to full guard.
Gorchev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
