Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mercury Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flynn's entrance music is Bad Ass by Mickey Finn & Aphrodite. A fine choice. Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Everybody Knows My Name. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mickey Flynn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flynn is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones.
Flynn looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
Flynn gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jones.
Flynn misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Flynn gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Flynn successfully pulls guard.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Flynn is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flynn had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jones is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Flynn Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jones's back instead.
Flynn working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Flynn wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.

Jones wants to control his opponent's hands but Flynn gets his hands free.
Jones is trying to keep from getting into a worse position than he's already in but Jones is working away and isn't letting himself get tied up.
Jones looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones looking very determined here, making life difficult for Flynn.

Flynn is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Jones is defending well though. Flynn let's go of the attempt for now.

Flynn is breathing heavily.
Flynn has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Jones has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Jones is keeping busy.

Flynn is throwing strikes by Jones counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Jones regains half guard.

Flynn is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Jones wants to control but Flynn is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Flynn prevents Jones from standing back up.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flynn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Flynn moves nicely into side control.

Flynn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Flynn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Jones tries to bench press Flynn off him but Flynn keeps the position.
Jones is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Jones tries to improve position but can't.
Flynn in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Jones struggling a bit here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Flynn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mickey Flynn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Flynn rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Flynn has managed to clinch.
Jones is trying to maintain a safe position but Flynn gets an underhook and turns Jones into the cage.

The fight stays on the outside here - Flynn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Flynn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.
Flynn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Flynn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Flynn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Flynn is keen to just control but Jones is a slippery customer.

Jones gets full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Flynn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Flynn wants to stand but Jones is controlling his posture from full guard.
Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flynn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jones is trying to keep Flynn in close.
Jones is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A shot to the body from Flynn misses
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Flynn closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Flynn pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Flynn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Flynn off to one side.
Flynn shoots in but no luck this time.
Jones is looking to clinch but Flynn is avoiding it.
Jones defending well as Flynn loads up on a big left hand.
Flynn lands a left and a right that sends Jones crashing to the canvas! Flynn dives into mount looking to finish!
Jones is rocked!
Flynn has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Jones is forced to tap!
