Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mariusz Pudzianowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cowgill Nightmare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Cowgill Nightmare enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mariusz Pudzianowski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cowgill Nightmare! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pudzianowski wants to clinch. Nightmare misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nightmare shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Nightmare slows the pace down in half guard. Pudzianowski is pressing down on Nightmare's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Pudzianowski tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pudzianowski looking to control.
Pudzianowski keeping moving, preventing Nightmare from controlling successfully. Nightmare stopping the sweep attempt from Pudzianowski.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nightmare prevents Pudzianowski from getting back to his feet. Nightmare stopping the sweep attempt from Pudzianowski. Nightmare has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pudzianowski is proving hard to escape from.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pudzianowski is looking to clinch. Nightmare dodges the punch combination from Pudzianowski.
Nightmare will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nightmare avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pudzianowski fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pudzianowski moves in looking to clinch but Nightmare pushes him off. Pudzianowski scores with a hook to the body. Nightmare takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Nightmare drives through and clinches with Pudzianowski against the cage.

Nightmare shoots in and bounces Pudzianowski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Nightmare looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Pudzianowski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pudzianowski tries to land a sweep but no joy. Nightmare postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Nightmare loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Nightmare's corner is telling him to maintain position. Pudzianowski wants to hit a switch here but Nightmare passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pudzianowski there! Nightmare really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pudzianowski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pudzianowski is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Pudzianowski tries to lock up and control but Nightmare gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nightmare looking to control and managing it successfully. Pudzianowski flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Pudzianowski tries to hold on but Nightmare pushes him away. Pudzianowski really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Nightmare content just to control the position here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nightmare gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cowgill Nightmare dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nightmare scores with a takedown into Pudzianowski's guard. Pudzianowski not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nightmare stopping the sweep attempt from Pudzianowski. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nightmare accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Nightmare passes into half guard. Nightmare passes into side control, despite Pudzianowski's attempt to control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pudzianowski wants to get back to his feet but Nightmare drags him back down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nightmare is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Pudzianowski will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Nightmare working away. Nightmare decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nightmare clinches up with Pudzianowski and pushes him back against the cage. Pudzianowski using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nightmare has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Nightmare pulls Pudzianowski into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nightmare wants to sweep here but Pudzianowski controlling him for the moment. Nightmare keeping full guard, as Pudzianowski tries to pass. Nightmare controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nightmare's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Nightmare looking for a guillotine here but Pudzianowski defends easily.
Pudzianowski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Nightmare seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Pudzianowski tries to free his leg and advance position but Nightmare is retaining full guard. Nightmare lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pudzianowski! Nightmare controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pudzianowski trying desperately to get to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cowgill Nightmare showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Pudzianowski gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Nightmare pushes down on Pudzianowski's leg and manages to get into half guard. Pudzianowski is looking to control Nightmare's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pudzianowski avoid being mounted? Nightmare lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Pudzianowski makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pudzianowski. Pudzianowski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nightmare slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pudzianowski wants to get back to his feet but Nightmare is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Nightmare pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pudzianowski is keeping the position for now. Nightmare is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Nightmare gets to his feet - Pudzianowski follows without any prompting. Pudzianowski gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nightmare to score an easy takedown into full guard. Pudzianowski trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pudzianowski is really struggling to control Nightmare but he's trying to hold on to the position. Pudzianowski throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Pudzianowski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nightmare can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pudzianowski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Nightmare working some strikes from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pudzianowski being controlled here, momentarily. Nightmare postures up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pudzianowski tries to clinch but fails miserably and Nightmare counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Nightmare landing some decent shots from guard. Pudzianowski wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Nightmare is now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Cowgill Nightmare comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Nightmare winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
