Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pung Rundgung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Wesley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rundgung comes to the cage accompanied by Bullsonparade. James Wesley is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Pung Rundgung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, James Wesley!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rundgung shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Rundgung with the ground and pound from mount.
Rundgung looking to ground and pound but Wesley is blocking nicely.
Wesley tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rundgung sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Rundgung throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wesley keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Wesley wants to control but Rundgung is having none of it.

Rundgung has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wesley tries to lock up and control but Rundgung gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
BOOM! Rundgung connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Rundgung takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Rundgung postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Wesley looks a forlorn figure.

Rundgung takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Rundgung goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Wesley turns into him and now he's in Rundgung's guard.
Wesley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rundgung has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wesley uses from the top position.

Pung Rundgung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rundgung closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wesley did well to prevent Rundgung getting side control.

Rundgung is looking to take a break and control but Wesley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rundgung throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rundgung sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wesley defending well though.
Rundgung moves nicely into side control.
Pung Rundgung overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wesley parries the strikes from Rundgung easily there. Rundgung is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Wesley to escape.
You can see the frustration on Wesley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Rundgung tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rundgung has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rundgung wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wesley keeps working.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rundgung tries to advance to mount but Wesley denies him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A jab from Rundgung finds it's way through Wesley's defenses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Rundgung moves into range and clinches up with Wesley.
Rundgung wants a takedown but no success here.

Rundgung pulls guard effortlessly.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rundgung wants to land a leg kick but Wesley is out of range.
Wesley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rundgung connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Wesley has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Well Rundgung has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
