PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zachariah Jabari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Lex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jabari kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Run this town. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lex feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lex postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jabari is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lex, into his guard.

Jabari shoots in looking for a takedown. Lex tries to sprawl out of it but Jabari keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lex manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jabari changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lex tries to avoid it but Jabari manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lex to the ground. Lex escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
