PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xander Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Collin Greedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greedy has chosen IRON MAN as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greedy throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Adams staying out of range there.
Adams defending well as Greedy loads up on a big left hand.

Greedy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Greedy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Adams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Adams is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Adams throws a big right hand that misses.
Adams thows a big elbow that misses.
Adams not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Greedy misses with the head strike.
Greedy is looking to control Adams's arms but Adams gets an underhook and turns him. Now Greedy has his back to the cage.
Adams is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Greedy pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Adams fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Adams could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Adams tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Greedy just stands there and leans against the cage.

Greedy will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Adams up against the cage.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Greedy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Adams's hands.

Greedy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Adams. Adams circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Greedy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Greedy fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Adams tries to clinch up
and Greedy counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Adams is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Greedy is looking to clinch.
Greedy catches Adams napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Adams to the canvas!

Adams is rocked!

Oh Adams is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adams wants to hit a switch here but Greedy passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Adams there!
Adams seems to have got his legs back now.
Adams wants to control but Greedy is having none of it.
Adams holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Greedy tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Adams is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Greedy lands a heavy elbow.

Adams somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Adams misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Adams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Greedy is bucking up trying to escape but Adams cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Adams trying to control the position from guard on top but Greedy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Adams stands up and waves to Greedy to follow him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Greedy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That was a close round but I would say that Xander Adams will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Greedy looks to land a right hand but Adams moved out of range.
Adams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Greedy lands a glancing blow to the side of Adams's head.

Adams stuns Greedy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Greedy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Greedy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Adams circles away.

Adams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Adams slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Greedy wants to stand and escape but Adams is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adams controls from within his opponent's guard.
Greedy is trying to control the position but Adams postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Greedy kicks Adams off and gets to his feet.
Greedy scores with the left hand. Adams knows he should have avoided that one.
