The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akkari tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rourke swivels and escapes.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rourke!
Akkari shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rourke wants to control but Akkari is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Akkari wants to pass to mount but Rourke is defending the position.
Akkari is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Akkari mounts Rourke! Really nice guard pass there!

Akkari looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Akkari trying to control but Rourke is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Akkari fails to advance to Rourke's back.
Akkari can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rourke is looking to escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Akkari looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Akkari wants to finish this one by submission but Rourke is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Akkari.
Rourke tries to reverse the position but Akkari maintains control.
Akkari wants to take his opponent's back but Rourke doesn't allow it.
Akkari working for a guillotine from mount but Rourke is in no mood to give up.

Akkari is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rourke is surviving well by controlling Akkari's body position as best he can.
Akkari goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rourke turns into him and now he's in Akkari's guard.
Akkari is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rourke trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rourke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Akkari. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Akkari has his foot on Rourke's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rourke works his way back into a safe position though.
Akkari is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rourke defends well.
Rourke won't allow Akkari to sweep him here.
Akkari looking for a triangle here. Rourke is fighting it but it looks tight! Akkari pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Rourke is tapping out - this one is all over!
