The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mack throws a sloppy head kick and Monson moves out of range easily.
Monson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mack sprawls well. Mack wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Monson gets slowly back to his feet.
Monson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mack's waist but Mack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Monson off to one side.
Mack scores with a kick to the midsection.
Monson is breathing heavily.
Mack pushes Monson away with a front kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mack lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Jeff Monson has been cut.

Mack lands a big head kick that sends Monson tumbling to the mat! Mack takes a step backwards and waves Monson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Mack throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Monson is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
