The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Carwin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown but Carwin shows good takedown defense.
Chris Carwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carwin moves into range and connects with a jab.
Carwin sizes up Anderson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Carwin rushes Anderson and presses him up against the cage.
Carwin lands a nice uppercut.

Carwin breaks from the clinch.
A lazy left from Carwin finds it's target.
Anderson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Carwin misses with the combination.
Carwin keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Anderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carwin avoids it really well and circles away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carwin rushes Anderson and presses him up against the cage.

Carwin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Carwin stalks Anderson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Anderson's face. Anderson staggers backwards, shaken.
Carwin cracks Anderson with a right hand to the side of the head.
Carwin lands a jab to the head.

Anderson is rocked!
Anderson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Anderson is holding his hands too far apart here. Carwin throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Anderson is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
