Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Nottingham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terrez Trobaz!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trobaz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Trobaz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nottingham is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Trobaz tries to advance to mount but Nottingham denies him.

Trobaz working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Nottingham manages to work his way to half guard, despite Trobaz's best efforts.
Trobaz trying to pass the guard but Nottingham defending well.
Nottingham keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Nottingham throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Trobaz manages to pass to side control.

Nottingham is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Trobaz is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nottingham is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Trobaz defends it well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nottingham in particular looking to stall.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Nottingham will probably get the nod.

Nottingham is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Trobaz has escaped the position, nice work there.
Nottingham wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trobaz keeps working.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Daniel Nottingham just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Nottingham goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Trobaz has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Nottingham but great work by Trobaz.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You can see the frustration on Nottingham's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's time! Nottingham's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Trobaz misses with a takedown attempt

Nottingham wants to control from the top but Trobaz keeps moving.

Nottingham sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Trobaz's guard.
Nottingham is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Trobaz!

Trobaz is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Nottingham takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Daniel Nottingham overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
