Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Solih (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Diccico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Solih!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miguel Diccico!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solih throws a leg kick but Diccico sees it coming and moves out of range.

Solih closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Solih scores with a couple of short elbows.
Diccico taking punishment in the form of punches.
Diccico is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Solih decides to stand back up. Solih steps back and let's Diccico get back to his feet.
Diccico connects with a solid leg kick.

Solih shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Diccico throws a strike from the bottom but Solih passes into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Diccico tries to improve position but can't.

Solih working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Solih is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Diccico has escaped the position, nice work there.

Diccico is trying to improve his position.
Solih misses with the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Solih is breathing heavily.
Diccico is looking to reverse the position.
Diccico gets back to half guard.
Solih is keen to just control but Diccico is a slippery customer.
Diccico has hold of Solih's hands but Solih slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Diccico has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Solih is working away from the top position though.
Diccico makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Diccico.

Solih scoring with punches to the head and body.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Diccico is on top in guard.
Diccico has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Solih is proving hard to escape from.

Solih scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Diccico has his takedown stuffed

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
and Solih counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Solih is in close to Diccico's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Solih trying to control but Diccico is working from the bottom.
Solih thows a big elbow that misses.
Diccico utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Diccico has Solih pulled in close to control his posture.

Diccico keeping moving, preventing Solih from controlling successfully.
Solih is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Solih lands a couple of digs.
Solih makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Solih wants to pass the guard but Diccico is keeping the position.
Solih content to stall in guard here.
Diccico controls Solih momentarily but Solih frees himself.
Diccico tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Solih with a flurry of punches that miss.
Solih trying to control the position from guard on top but Diccico is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Diccico bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Solih's guard.
Diccico wants to get up but he can't break Solih's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Solih has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Diccico scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Solih is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Diccico is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Solih prevents Diccico from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Solih dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Solih fails with the takedown

and Diccico moves into the clinch.
Diccico gets underhooks to prevent Solih's takedown attempt.
Diccico tries to stall but Solih uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Solih avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Solih chips away with some ground and pound.

Diccico is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Diccico manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Solih regains half guard.
Tim Solih overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Diccico is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Solih defends it well.
Solih wants to control but Diccico is keeping busy.
Diccico is trying to control the action in half guard but Solih is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Solih tries to roll over but Diccico keeps him under control.
Solih is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diccico's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diccico's back!
Solih lands a shot to the head.


It looks like Miguel Diccico has been cut.
Solih looking to soften up his opponent with punches.

Diccico is still in real trouble! Can Solih finish him?


That has opened up Miguel Diccico's cut even more.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Solih tries to get the hooks in deep but Diccico pushed the leg off.
Solih has good solid back control here.
Diccico seems to have recovered his senses.
Solih throwing damaging strikes from the back! Diccico could be in trouble here!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Miguel Diccico's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
