PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Tiera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Back (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tiera comes to the cage accompanied by Judas Priest - Turbo Lover. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Tiera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Back!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Back tries a head kick but it misses.
Back misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Back tries to close the distance and clinch but Tiera swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Back fails to land with a series of punches.
Back tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tiera paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tiera swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Tiera drives through and clinches with Back against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Tiera as the two fighters clinch.
Tiera is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Back gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Tiera works on Back's body with a couple of short punches.
Back is trying to maintain a safe position but Tiera gets an underhook and turns Back into the cage.

Back gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Tiera seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Tiera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Tiera has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Back can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Tiera has his hands on Back's head, controlling the position.
Tiera on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tiera tries to get out of the position.
Tiera's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Back really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tiera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tiera manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Tiera is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Back is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Back tries to reverse the position but Tiera maintains control.
Back wants to control but Tiera is having none of it.
Tiera lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tiera is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Back can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Back is rocked!

It looks like Nick Back has been cut.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Back looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Back is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Back is still in real trouble! Can Tiera finish him?

Tiera working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Back seems to have recovered his senses.
Tiera lands with some strikes.
Tiera unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Back wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Tiera celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
