Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abel Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Coxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coxwell has chosen Messiah by Konflict (Nosia Remix) as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Abel Zero has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Abel Zero seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coxwell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Zero swivels and escapes.
Zero goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Coxwell misses with a takedown attempt - Zero sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Zero forces Coxwell back against the cage and clinches.
Zero drops down looking for an ankle pick but Coxwell pulls his leg out and moves away.

Zero gets a clinch.
Zero can't break the clinch.
Coxwell is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Abel Zero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Coxwell.

Zero manages to break the clinch.
An inside leg kick lands from Zero.

Coxwell tries to close the distance and clinch but Zero swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Coxwell takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Coxwell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Zero, right into the meat.
Zero moves into range and connects with a jab.

Coxwell looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Zero!
Zero is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Zero is desperately trying to improve his position but Coxwell has a good base and remains in mount.
Zero is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Zero takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Zero has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Coxwell's lack of action.
Coxwell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Zero with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Coxwell wants to free his trapped foot but Zero is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Coxwell throws a strike but Zero avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zero is breathing heavily.
Coxwell misses with a head shot. Zero uses the momentum to regain guard.

Coxwell slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Coxwell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zero knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Coxwell thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zero's head.
Coxwell moves nicely into side control.
Coxwell sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Zero is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Zero tries to escape but Coxwell is in control.

Coxwell decides to stand back up. Coxwell steps back and let's Zero get back to his feet.
Zero throws a head kick that misses.
Zero pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zero throws a nice outside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Abel Zero will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Zero throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Coxwell.
Coxwell shoots in looking for a takedown. Zero tries to sprawl out of it but Coxwell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zero manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Zero plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Zero throws a front kick that sends Coxwell stumbling back into the cage.
Zero swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Coxwell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zero tries to avoid it but Coxwell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zero to the ground. Zero escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zero keeps Coxwell at a distance using the push kick.
Zero throws a nice outside leg kick.
Zero throws a sloppy head kick and Coxwell moves out of range easily.
Coxwell is breathing heavily.
Zero lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Zero.
Coxwell fails with a takedown attempt.
Abel Zero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Coxwell.
Coxwell takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Zero connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Coxwell looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Coxwell throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Coxwell wants to pass the guard but Zero is defending well.

Coxwell is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Coxwell is working for a guillotine from mount but Zero frees his head quite easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zero takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Coxwell with the ground and pound from mount.
BOOM! Coxwell connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Coxwell working for a submission but Zero is keeping him at bay.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coxwell is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Zero has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Coxwell postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Zero looks a forlorn figure.
Coxwell is landing with some decent strikes but Zero is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Zero wants to get back to his feet.

Coxwell has an active guard here but Zero has managed to pass into half guard.

Coxwell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Zero!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Coxwell has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Zero's face.

Peter Coxwell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Coxwell dances in with a quick combination. Zero is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Coxwell snaps Zero's head back. Zero stumbles backwards against the cage. Coxwell steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Zero's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Zero just didn't come prepared.
