Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between muay guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Serra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
guy moves into range and clinches up with Serra.
Serra is trying to work for a single leg takedown but guy pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Serra tries to score a body lock takedown but guy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
guy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
guy fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
guy goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Serra displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from guy.
Serra looks to clinch
and guy counters with a two punch combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and guy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Serra won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Serra throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around guy's waist but guy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Serra off to one side.

Serra is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Serra is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Serra shoots in for a takedown but guy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
guy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Serra sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten guy somewhat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well guy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
