Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hu Hichu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Federico Lovalente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hichu misses with the combination.
Lovalente is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lovalente tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Hichu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hichu slips a jab from Lovalente.

Lovalente rushes Hichu and presses him up against the ropes.
Hichu takes a knee right on the jaw!
Knees in the clinch landing for Lovalente.
Hichu is breathing heavily.
Hichu is trying to force a seperation but Lovalente has the dominant position.
Lovalente scores with a knee to the head.

It looks like Hu Hichu has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lovalente working Hichu over with knees to the body.
Lovalente crunches a lovely knee into Hichu's ribcage.
Lovalente lands a body punch in the clinch.

Lovalente manages to break the clinch.
Lovalente throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Lovalente clinches with his opponent.

Lovalente breaks from the clinch.
Lovalente wants to clinch.
Lovalente fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lovalente scores with a kick to the midsection.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lovalente tries to clinch up but Hichu circles away and keeps his distance.

Lovalente has managed to clinch.

Lovalente breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lovalente.
Hichu swats away the attempt to clinch by Lovalente.
Hu Hichu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lovalente lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lovalente fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lovalente tries to clinch but Hichu is having none of it.
Lovalente throws a head kick but Hichu moves out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hichu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lovalente - the referee stops the clock and Hichu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lovalente. Hichu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Lovalente lands a really nice looking cross but Hichu seems unphased.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lovalente moves in looking to clinch but Hichu pushes him off.
Lovalente fails in his attempt to clinch.

Lovalente lands a big uppercut and Hichu crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hichu looks OK. Lovalente waves Hichu back to his feet!

Hichu is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lovalente tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hichu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oh Hichu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lovalente moves into the clinch.
Lovalente unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hichu lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Lovalente stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Hichu seems to have got his legs back now.
Lovalente working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Lovalente lands a knee to the head.
Lovalente has Hichu pressed up against the ropes in a tight Thai clinch. Hichu is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Lovalente - that's hurt Hichu badly! Oh, another knee lands and Hichu is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Hichu doesn't seem to be complaining.
