Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harri Potteri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slim Shadie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potteri's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, HP Theme. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Harri Potteri!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Slim Shadie!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potteri thows a body shot but no joy.
Shadie fails with the takedown.

Potteri gets caught flat footed, as Shadie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Shadie has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Potteri's face.
Potteri is desperately trying to improve his position but Shadie has a good base and remains in mount.

You can see the frustration on Potteri's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Shadie scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Potteri to see if he's OK.

Shadie stalling away here and it's allowed Potteri to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Shadie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Potteri.

Potteri throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shadie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Potteri goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Shadie shoots in but Potteri avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That was a close round but Harri Potteri did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Shadie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Potteri tries to avoid it but Shadie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Potteri to the ground. Potteri escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
