Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Blaze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pete Green!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green stuffs the takedown.
A jab lands there for Green.


It looks like Al Blaze has been cut.

Blaze closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blaze wants to control but Green is keeping him busy.
Green is looking to reverse the position.

Blaze is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Green has escaped the position, nice work there.
Blaze in side control, throwing shots but Green defends.
Green is trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Green tries to bench press Blaze off him but Blaze keeps the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

so Blaze counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blaze sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Green's guard.

Blaze is trying to work for a kimura but Green is defending well.
Green has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blaze is working away from the top position though.

Blaze is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Green sees it coming and defends easily.

Blaze is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Blaze is breathing heavily.

Blaze is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Green doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Blaze.
Green is looking for a sweep. Blaze is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Green is looking to get back to is feet but Blaze passes into side control.
Green is trying to control Blaze's posture but Blaze avoids it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Green fails to land the takedown.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blaze accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Green is on top in guard.

Green wants to control from the top but Blaze keeps moving.

Blaze is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Green postures up and lands a big shot to Blaze's brow.

Blaze has his foot on Green's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Green works his way back into a safe position though.
Blaze is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Blaze is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Blaze is looking to control Green's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Blaze avoid being mounted?

Green not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Green throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Green lands with a punch from half guard.
Blaze regains full guard. Nicely done.

Blaze is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Green defends well.

Blaze looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Green loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Green decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Blaze, up you get!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Al Blaze will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Blaze shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Green controls Blaze momentarily but Blaze frees himself.
Green tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Blaze won't allow Green to get back to his feet.

Blaze drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blaze jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Green is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Green misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Blaze bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Green is breathing heavily.

Blaze tries to score a power double leg takedown but Green sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blaze somewhat.
Horrible takedown by Blaze or perhaps it was just good defense by Green which made him look bad.

Green misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Blaze shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Al Blaze overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Blaze closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blaze lands in his opponent's guard.
Green wants to sweep here but Blaze controlling him for the moment.
Blaze with a flurry of punches that miss.
Green is pulling down on Blaze's head to control his posture.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Green holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Green moves in looking to clinch but Blaze pushes him off.
Blaze shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

Green fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Blaze connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Blaze has hold of Green's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Green manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Blaze throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Blaze is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Green is surviving well by controlling Blaze's body position as best he can.

Green is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Blaze is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Green can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Pete Green comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Green has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
