Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lusiphur Kusanagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Reeler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lusiphur Kusanagi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Reeler!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kusanagi shoots for a takedown but Reeler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kusanagi wants to slow Reeler down by chopping away at his legs.
Lusiphur Kusanagi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kusanagi swings for the body but Reeler moves out of range.
A swing and a miss from Kusanagi.
Kusanagi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Reeler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kusanagi swivels and escapes.
Kusanagi moves in looking to clinch but Reeler pushes him off.
Reeler displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kusanagi throws out the jab.
Reeler takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Reeler looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kusanagi throws a shot from downtown. Reeler moves away and avoids it.
A big right from Kusanagi misses.
Reeler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kusanagi swivels and escapes.
Lusiphur Kusanagi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kim Reeler.
Kusanagi shoots in but no luck this time.

Kusanagi clinches.
Reeler is trying to break the clinch but Kusanagi has him pressed against the cage.
Reeler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kusanagi walks away with a smile on his face. Reeler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jab, jab by Kusanagi - just one landing.


It looks like Kim Reeler has been cut.
Kusanagi looks to land a left hand but Reeler moved out of range nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reeler throws a front kick that sends Kusanagi stumbling back into the cage.
Reeler blocks a jab.
Kusanagi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Reeler momentarily.


Reeler is rocked!
Reeler displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kusanagi throws out the jab.

Reeler shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Reeler trying to control from half guard but Kusanagi is working away.
Reeler sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kusanagi defending well though.
Kusanagi is looking to escape.

Reeler gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kusanagi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kusanagi wants to clinch.
Kusanagi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reeler moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Reeler tries a head kick but it misses.
Kusanagi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Reeler counters with a nice body shot.
Kusanagi is breathing heavily.
Kusanagi closes the distance looking to clinch

and Reeler counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kusanagi's guard now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reeler distracts Kusanagi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Reeler controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Reeler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reeler is looking to work some ground and pound but Kusanagi has wrist control.
Reeler controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Kusanagi pushes Reeler off and gets back to his feet.

Kusanagi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Reeler manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kusanagi's best efforts.
Reeler is looking to escape.
Reeler is trying to get back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Reeler looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Kusanagi looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Kusanagi wants to stand but Reeler has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Kusanagi decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Donk. Kusanagi catches Reeler right on the button with a cross.
Kusanagi takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reeler staying out of range there.
No joy there for Reeler, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Reeler throws a nice looking combination but Kusanagi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Reeler ducks under a wild hook from Kusanagi.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lusiphur Kusanagi will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Kim Reeler's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Reeler wants to clinch.

Kusanagi has Reeler up against the cage in a clinch.
Reeler is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Kusanagi pulls guard effortlessly.
Reeler slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Reeler misses with the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reeler trying to control the action but Kusanagi is working from the bottom.

Reeler decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Reeler is breathing heavily.
A jab from Kusanagi does it's job there.
Kusanagi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reeler looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kusanagi blocks a head kick by Reeler.
Kusanagi is looking to clinch but Reeler is avoiding it.
Kusanagi connects with the punch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kusanagi drops Reeler with a big left hand! Reeler is injured, injured bad! Kusanagi jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lusiphur Kusanagi!
