Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Mescudi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rian Madison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ramon Mescudi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rian Madison!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mescudi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Madison avoids the head kick by Mescudi.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Madison.

Madison shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Madison showed some decent athleticism there.
Madison wants to free his trapped foot but Mescudi is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Madison lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Madison trying to control the action but Mescudi is working from the bottom.

Madison is looking to advance position but Mescudi won't allow it.
Mescudi wants to get back to his feet.
Madison is nestled in close to Mescudi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mescudi pushes Madison off looking to stand but Madison dives back in and keeps control.
Madison trying to mount his opponent but Mescudi defends it.

Mescudi tries to kick Madison off but Madison keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Madison shoots in but Mescudi avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Madison looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mescudi!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You get the feeling that Mescudi really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Madison controlling the pace for now.
Mescudi is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Madison takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mescudi tries to buck Madison off but he can't manage it.
Mescudi is squirming around, avoiding Madison's attempts to control the action.
Mescudi's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mescudi is breathing heavily.

Madison is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mescudi is surviving well by controlling Madison's body position as best he can.

Madison closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mescudi wants to get back to his feet.
Mescudi trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Mescudi is not content to let Madison control the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Madison throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mescudi's waist but Mescudi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Madison off to one side.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Madison shoots in for a takedown but Mescudi shows good takedown defense.

Madison bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Madison is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mescudi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ramon Mescudi will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Madison tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Madison takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mescudi really wants to buck Madison off and get back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Madison is landing with some decent strikes but Mescudi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Mescudi is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Rian Madison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Madison has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
