Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Allu Kolli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Choi Won Hyeong!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolli finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Kolli swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Kolli looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hyeong!
Kolli trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kolli wants to finish this one by submission but Hyeong is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kolli.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kolli trying to control but Hyeong is having none of it.
Hyeong wants to hold on but Kolli pushes him away.
Hyeong tries to buck Kolli off but he can't manage it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hyeong is squirming around, avoiding Kolli's attempts to control the action.
Hyeong is trying to escape the mount.
Hyeong looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Kolli is trying to stick to Hyeong's back but Hyeong is turning into Kolli. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kolli's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hyeong.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hyeong postures up in Kolli's guard and throws a big left but Kolli blocks it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kolli fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kolli.

Hyeong scores a takedown into full mount!
Hyeong looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Kolli is trying desperately to improve position.
Hyeong lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Hyeong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hyeong lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Kolli is desperately trying to improve his position but Hyeong has a good base and remains in mount.
Kolli is breathing heavily.
Kolli tries to hold on but Hyeong postures up.
Kolli tries to reverse the position but Hyeong maintains control.
Hyeong content just to control the position here.
Kolli is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Choi Won Hyeong dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Kolli gets caught flat footed, as Hyeong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hyeong looking to pass the guard.
Hyeong stops Kolli from standing up.
Hyeong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kolli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kolli trying to control the position.
Hyeong tries to free his leg and advance position but Kolli is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hyeong slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Kolli had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hyeong defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hyeong scoring with some ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Hyeong fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kolli sprawls well initially but Hyeong persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hyeong moves into full mount! Kolli won't be happy about that!

Hyeong working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Hyeong has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kolli's face.

Hyeong postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kolli looks a forlorn figure.
Hyeong controlling the pace for now.
Kolli is working to get back to half guard.
Hyeong lands with some strikes.
Hyeong landing strikes from the mount.

Kolli is wriggling around trying to escape.
A nice elbow there by Hyeong.

Kolli is looking to get to half guard.
Kolli tries to lock up and control but Hyeong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hyeong pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Hyeong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Hyeong avoids the attempt from Kolli to control.
Hyeong is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Hyeong sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Hyeong breaks from Kolli's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Hyeong tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Choi Won Hyeong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Hyeong looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kolli has hold of Hyeong's hands but Hyeong slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hyeong with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Hyeong drops an elbow to the side of Kolli's head.
Hyeong scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Hyeong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hyeong stalling.
Kolli makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kolli.

Kolli looking for a sweep. Not yet Kolli, not yet.
Choi Won Hyeong has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hyeong with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hyeong trying to control but Kolli is working from the bottom.
Kolli is trying to keep Hyeong in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kolli lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hyeong!
Hyeong wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Kolli wants to control the pace but Hyeong is squirming around nicely.
Hyeong sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hyeong tries to kick Kolli off but Kolli keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hyeong can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kolli wants to take a breather but Hyeong is having none of it.
Hyeong is looking to get back to is feet but Kolli passes into side control.
Kolli prevents Hyeong from escaping the position.
Hyeong tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kolli presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kolli avoids the attempt from Hyeong to control.
Kolli landing strikes, looking to finish!
Kolli trying to control but Hyeong is having none of it.
Hyeong is looking to get to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Choi Won Hyeong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hyeong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
