Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Al Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Connely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Bundy has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Bundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Connely!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bundy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Connely sprawls well. Connely wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bundy gets slowly back to his feet.
A big left from Connely misses.
Horrible takedown by Bundy or perhaps it was just good defense by Connely which made him look bad.
Connely scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Bundy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Connely looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Connely prevents Bundy from improving position.
Bundy trying to control the action but Connely is working from the bottom.
Connely wants to get back to his feet.

Connely is looking to get back to his feet here but Bundy is keeping cool and he's managed to take Connely's back.

Connely defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bundy seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Connely won't allow Bundy to get back to his feet.
Bundy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bundy is trying to keep Connely in close.
Connely wanted to stand there but Bundy had control of the position.
Bundy pulls Connely in close to his closed guard and prevents Connely from doing any damage or advancing position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bundy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Connely is looking to stand up but Bundy won't let him.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Connely throws a shot from downtown. Bundy moves away and avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Chris Connely will probably get the nod.

Connely takes a swing at Bundy's ribcage but misses.
Connely looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Connely tries to bum rush Bundy with a series of wild strikes but Bundy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bundy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Connely throws a hook but Bundy avoids it easily.
Connely misses with a looping right.
Connely dips to his left and cracks Bundy with an uppercut!
Bundy dodges the punch combination from Connely.
Connely lands a slapping body shot.
Bundy slips a straight right by Connely.
Connely misses with a jab, cross combination.

Bundy pushes Connely up against the cage in a clinch.
Connely is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Connely prevents a takedown attempt there.
Connely can't break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bundy pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Connely wants to break free but Bundy has control.

Bundy lands a takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bundy trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Connely manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Connely wants to stand but Bundy has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bundy is on top in guard.

Bundy chips away with some ground and pound.
Connely wants to get back to his feet but Bundy is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Bundy pushes down on Connely's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bundy is keen to just control but Connely is a slippery customer.
Still in half guard, Bundy seems content to control.
Bundy throwing shots but Connely is blocking nicely.

Connely has one foot on Bundy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bundy wants to clinch.
Bundy ducks under a wild hook from Connely.
Connely cracks Bundy with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Connely keeps the fight on the outside.
Connely misses with a hook.
A big right from Connely misses.

Bundy rushes Connely and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bundy has Connely pushed against the cage.
Bundy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Connely avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Bundy is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Connely gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Bundy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Connely can't break the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Chris Connely will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Connely misses the jab.

Bundy scores a takedown into full mount!
Bundy trying to control but Connely is having none of it.
Connely is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Connely holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bundy tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Connely tries to buck Bundy off but he can't manage it.

Bundy swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Connely is now in Bundy's guard. A big mistake from Bundy there, giving up the dominant position!
Bundy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Connely has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bundy is proving hard to escape from.
Al Bundy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bundy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Bundy is trying to control the position but Connely postures up.
Connely won't allow Bundy to sweep him here.
Connely trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bundy's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bundy trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bundy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jab from Connely.
Chris Connely is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bundy clinches up with Connely and pushes him back against the cage.
Bundy creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Connely stops a takedown attempt from Bundy.
Bundy is working for takedown but Connely is calmly controlling the position for now.
Bundy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Connely pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Bundy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Connely lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bundy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Connely was well out of range. Poor timing from Bundy.
Bundy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chris Connely comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Connely winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
