Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carl Sagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sagan comes to the cage accompanied by Conquest of Paradise - Vangelis. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sagan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sagan throws a right hand that Cook ducks under and follows up with a left that Cook also avoids with ease.
A nice combination there by Sagan.
Cook dives in and grabs Sagan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sagan pushes down on Cook's head and hops out.
A lazy left from Sagan finds it's target.
Cook gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sagan.

Cook is rocked!
Cook shoots in but no luck this time.
Cook is still on wobbly legs! Can Sagan finish him?
Cook looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sagan is fending him off so far but Cook persists. Nope, Sagan circles away and we're back to standing.
Cook seems to have recovered his senses.
Carl Sagan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Cook.
Sagan throws a right and a left that Cook avoids nicely.
Cook shoots in for a takedown but Sagan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sagan scores with a hook.

Sagan loads up on a big right hand but Cook slips the punch.
Sagan tests Cook's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cook shoots for a double leg takedown but Sagan sprawls well. He's pushed Cook's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sagan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sagan lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Cook is looking to close the distance but Sagan sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Cook crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Cook is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
