The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDougle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Uzala tries to roll over but McDougle keeps him under control.
Uzala keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Uzala is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McDougle's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McDougle's back!

McDougle rolls, trying to escape but Uzala keeps control of the position.
Uzala is trying to stick to McDougle's back but McDougle is turning into Uzala. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Uzala's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by McDougle.
McDougle wants to pass the guard but Uzala is keeping the position.
McDougle lands a couple of digs.
McDougle content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

McDougle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Uzala's guard.
McDougle slips a nice elbow through Uzala's hands, connecting with Uzala's forehead.
