The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacheco dives in and grabs Van Der Meyde's left leg, looking for a takedown. Van Der Meyde pushes down on Pacheco's head and hops out.
Van Der Meyde tries to bum rush Pacheco with a series of wild strikes but Pacheco uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Van Der Meyde moves in looking to clinch but Pacheco pushes him off.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
