Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sean Shenanigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Arapeta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arapeta has chosen The Sound by Switchfoot as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Xander Arapeta enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shenanigan throws a head kick that misses.

It looks like Sean Shenanigan has been cut.
Shenanigan slips a jab and a cross from Arapeta.
Arapeta scores with a jab. Shenanigan acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Arapeta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Arapeta lands with a kick to the temple. Shenanigan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Shenanigan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Arapeta moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Arapeta lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Arapeta tries to land a front kick but Shenanigan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Shenanigan takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Shenanigan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Shenanigan.

Arapeta lands a lovely overhand right.
Shenanigan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Arapeta misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Arapeta works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Arapeta throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shenanigan throws a jab but it's blocked by Arapeta.

Arapeta uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shenanigan.

Arapeta throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Shenanigan throws a series of punches but Arapeta moves out of range.

Shenanigan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Arapeta counters with a thumping low kick.

and Arapeta counters with a nice body kick.
Xander Arapeta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shenanigan is breathing heavily.
Arapeta misses with a series of wild punches.
Arapeta throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Shenanigan's head.
Shenanigan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Arapeta was well out of range. Poor timing from Shenanigan.

Shenanigan avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Arapeta looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Arapeta counters with a nice body kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shenanigan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Arapeta - the referee stops the clock and Shenanigan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Arapeta. Shenanigan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Arapeta lands a head kick. Shenanigan smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Arapeta lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Oh Shenanigan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sean Shenanigan's cut is getting worse.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Arapeta throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Shenanigan is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
