The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saburov thows a body shot but no joy.
Barreto with a hook.
Barreto lands a nice leg kick that just misses Saburov's sensitive parts.
Barreto throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

and Barreto counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Barreto cracks a nice hook into Saburov's ribs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barreto misses with a looping left.
Barreto throws a head kick but Saburov moves out of range.
Saburov lands a nice looking kick to the body. Barreto takes a step back to recover.
Saburov blocks a head kick by Barreto.
The fight stays on the outside here - Barreto looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Barreto wants to stand up but Saburov is controlling him.
Barreto can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Saburov controls the pace.

Barreto will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Saburov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Barreto is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Saburov is controlling him.
Barreto can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Saburov controls the pace.
Barreto is looking to stand up but Saburov isn't so interested in that idea.
Saburov controls from within his opponent's guard.

Let's hope that Saburov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Peter Saburov just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Barreto takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Saburov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Barreto to the mat! Barreto manages to get full guard.

Saburov throws and elbow that misses. Barreto uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Saburov's guard. Nice move by Barreto!
Saburov has his hands on Barreto's head, controlling the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Barreto parries the strikes from Saburov easily there. Saburov is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Barreto to escape.
Saburov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Barreto throws a solid leg kick but Saburov takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Barreto.
Barreto rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Saburov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Saburov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Barreto is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Saburov asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Saburov content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

It looks like Jose Barreto has been cut.
Saburov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Barreto wants to clinch
and Saburov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saburov cracks the inside of Barreto's front leg.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Saburov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Saburov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Saburov is landing with some decent strikes but Barreto is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Saburov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Saburov throws a leg kick which misses Barreto's front leg but catches the back leg as Barreto tries to avoid it.

Saburov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Barreto sprawling to the canvas! Barreto rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Saburov finish him?!

Barreto on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Barreto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Saburov can pounce on him.
Saburov lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Saburov cracks Barreto with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Barreto looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Saburov finish him?


Barreto is rocked!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Saburov lands a brutal uppercut that launches Barreto off his feet! Barreto tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Peter Saburov!
