Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stu Grimson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jarmon Keyes!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimson tries to clinch up.
Stu Grimson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grimson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Keyes is fending him off so far but Grimson persists. Nope, Keyes circles away and we're back to standing.

Grimson darts in and clinches Keyes up against the cage.

Grimson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Keyes pulls his head out easily.

Keyes tries to pass to full mount but Grimson defends it.

Keyes is stalling here. Grimson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Keyes seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Grimson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Grimson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Grimson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Grimson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Keyes can do anything to dispel that myth.

Grimson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Keyes sees it coming and defends easily.

Grimson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Keyes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Grimson has Keyes in his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Stu Grimson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Keyes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Keyes tries for a kimura but Grimson is defending well.
Keyes is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Grimson's shoulder. That is not cool.
Keyes wants to control but Grimson is keeping him busy.
Grimson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stu Grimson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Grimson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
