Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Sackamano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ken Thunder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Sackamano!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sackamano feints and as Thunder raises his hands in defense, Sackamano changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Thunder looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Thunder is adopting a defensive guard.
Sackamano in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sackamano throws a big right hand that misses.
Sackamano trying to control the position from guard on top but Thunder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sackamano postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sackamano wants to control from the top but Thunder keeps moving.
Sackamano pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Thunder is keeping the position for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Thunder scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

and Sackamano counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Sackamano throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sackamano tries to pass the half guard into mount. Thunder knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Sackamano wants to take a breather but Thunder is having none of it.
Sackamano is looking to advance position but Thunder won't allow it.
Sackamano stalling.
Sackamano really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thunder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sackamano trying to control the action but Thunder is working from the bottom.
Sackamano wants to stand but Thunder has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Sackamano gets a takedown into half guard.
Thunder keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Sackamano thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thunder's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sackamano seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Sackamano is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thunder defends it well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Thunder gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sackamano to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Thunder not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sackamano wants to control from the top but Thunder keeps moving.

Sackamano stands and steps away. Thunder gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Sackamano dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sackamano misses with a few strikes there.

Sackamano shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sackamano was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Thunder is squirming around, avoiding Sackamano's attempts to control the action.
Sackamano might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Thunder kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Sackamano jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Thunder manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Thunder stops Sackamano from passing to mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sackamano has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Sackamano feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sackamano stands up from Thunder's guard - Sackamano perhaps looking for a knockout.

Sackamano is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Thunder's half guard.
Sackamano is trying to control the action in half guard but Thunder is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Thunder is trying to control but Sackamano passes into side control!
Sackamano wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thunder keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Thunder parries the strikes from Sackamano easily there. Sackamano is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Thunder to escape.
Thunder tries to bench press Sackamano off him but Sackamano keeps the position.
Sackamano is looking to take a break and control but Thunder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ground and pound from Sackamano seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Sackamano changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thunder looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Thunder wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Sackamano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Sackamano closes the distance and pushes Thunder back into the cage.

Sackamano's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Thunder shoots and misses

and Sackamano counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Thunder!

Thunder tries to improve his position but instead Sackamano has taken his back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Sackamano's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Sackamano is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The referee warns Thunder that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Despite being in the dominant position, Bob Sackamano just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sackamano closes the distance and pushes Thunder back into the cage.

Thunder striking off his back but it's not causing Sackamano any problems.

Sackamano gets to his feet - Thunder follows without any prompting.

Sackamano closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Thunder to the mat! Thunder manages to get full guard.

Sackamano working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sackamano trying to control the position from guard on top but Thunder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Thunder controls Sackamano momentarily but Sackamano frees himself.

Thunder is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sackamano stands and throws Thunder's legs to the side, diving into side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bob Sackamano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Sackamano winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
