PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yuoki Akamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akamara comes to the cage accompanied by Illuminati. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akamara is trying hard to land a takedown here. Holt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Akamara changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Holt tries to avoid it but Akamara manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Holt to the ground. Holt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuoki Akamara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Akamara shoots in for a takedown but Holt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Akamara shoots in looking for a takedown. Holt tries to sprawl out of it but Akamara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Holt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Akamara.
Akamara tries to score a power double leg takedown but Holt sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Akamara somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holt swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Akamara.

Holt lands with a hook. Akamara tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Akamara misses with a takedown attempt - Holt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The fighters circle momentarily. Holt darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Holt lets loose with a powerful body kick. Akamara will feel that in the morning.
Holt throws a head kick but Akamara moves out of range.

Akamara tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Holt goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Holt lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Akamara looks up at the clock. Bad move! Holt lands a right hand from hell, dropping Akamara. Holt pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
